Dana Murphy appointed to Advisory Council

Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Dana Murphy has been appointed to the Advisory Council to the Board of Directors of the Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. (EPRI).
EPRI is an independent, nonprofit organization conducting research, development, and demonstration projects relating to the generation, delivery, and use of electricity for the benefit of the public.
Its work involves nearly every area of electricity generation, delivery and use, management, and environmental responsibility. Its membership includes government agencies, electric utilities, corporations, and other public and private entities from around the world. The Advisory Council advises EPRI management and the Board and assists in prioritizing relevant and balanced research to serve the public interest.
The appointment was made by President Lisa Edgar of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC). Edgar described Murphy’s active service on the EPRI Advisory Council as “important to the cause of strengthening effective public regulation.”
