Athletics 2nd in NPSL rankings

On July 10, 2014 the Tulsa Athletics improved to 2nd in the NPSL Puma Power Rankings over all 77 teams participating in the NPSL. This is the 6th Power Ranking of the 2014 season. The Athletics were ranked 11th in the first Power Ranking of the season. As they dominated their conference, they continued to climb the ranks, improving their position in the poll each week. The NPSL Puma Power Rankings were created in 2014 when the NPSL partnered with Puma to become the preferred cleat (2014) and uniform provider (2014-2015), replacing the NPSL Top 20 Media Poll.

The Athletics advanced to the NPSL South Central Conference Finals after defeating Dallas City FC 6-0 in the semifinals on Saturday night.  Tulsa followed up with a 4-2 win over the Corinthians FC of San Antonio Sunday night, clinching the Conference Championship.

The Tulsa Athletics will take on the Upward Stars from Upstate, SC in the NSPL South Regional Semifinals this Friday in Chattanooga, TN. The Upward Stars are 7-3 this season, winning the South Atlantic Conference.
