Bartlett challenges Taylor's negative campaign

Mayor Dewey Bartlett challenged mayoral candidate Kathy Taylor this morning to provide sources and facts about the untruthful claims in her latest barrage of negative advertising.
"There is a glaring lack of evidence to support the claims she makes in her latest round of negative ads," said Bartlett. "Her claims are either flat-out untrue, or huge stretches of the truth. Kathy Taylor needs to hold herself accountable and provide sources in her negative ads if she wants Tulsans to believe anything she is saying.”

“What is perhaps more troubling is whether or not Kathy Taylor had permission to use a trademarked logo and corporate resources to film her misleading ad. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Kathy Taylor risk the reputation of a Tulsa company to wage her negative campaign.” He added.
“I know she wishes Tulsans would forget about her record as a former mayor, but the truth is, Kathy Taylor can’t buy enough TV ads deceive the voters. We all remember the thousands of lost jobs, the wasteful spending, the fighting with the city council and the county. “
"Tulsans need solutions, balanced budgets and more jobs--not more of the divisive, negative campaigning from the past."
