Breitbart launches in Texas
The new media titan of independent reporting. Breitbart.com, announced yesterday opening new offices in London and Texas. We are delighted to have a new neighbor in the region.
In fact, all economy and most good media is regional. For decades the Dallas Morning News was considered the best news outlet in Oklahoma, but in cost cutting moves the organization narrowed focus. Here's a cheer for new near news with an attitude welcome in the region. A statement from the company declares: "Breitbart News launched two new verticals on Sunday—"Breitbart London" and "Breitbart Texas"—that are the first steps in a multi-year expansion effort that will bridge the gap between global and regional news at a time when the rise of anti-establishment forces in politics and new media are threatening the old political and media order."

Tulsa Today's reason for affection in Breitbart's style of coverage is shown by example in a current short story of a poster of President Barack Obama golfing. The posters are appearing at bus stops and other public locations outside the PGA's Northern Trust golf tournament in Southern California.
Tulsa Today found no other major media report of these posters. Not in the Times of LA or New York nor in any other national sports or political media as of this posting.
The posters proclaim that this most vacation rich American President is "Sub Par." Apparently, extensive practice is not improving President Obama's game.
The "Sub Par" posters have also been seen near the Palisades and Santa Monica, California.
