Tulsa Firefighters Honored
The 14th annual Tulsa Fire Department Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial dedication will be this Sunday.
The dedication will he held at 1:30 p.m. at Veteran's Park, 1800 South Boulder.
Officials will celebrate the lives and careers of the 16 retired Tulsa firefighters who passed away in the preceding 12 months.
Families of the fallen retired fire fighters will be present along with the Tulsa Fire Department Honor Guard, Fire Chief Allen LaCroix, Mayor Kathy Taylor, several city councilors and numerous current and retired firefighters.
The Tulsa Fallen Fighters Memorial will coincide with the National Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland honoring the 103 United States firefighters who died in the line of duty during the preceding twelve months.
