Oilers' Hisey Wins Top Honors
The Yankees may have won the World Series, but Tulsa has their own "Mr. October".
Oilers forward Rob Hisey was named the CHL Player Of The Month for October after posting seven goals and 5 assists for 12 points out of the gate to help the Oilers off to one of their best starts in recent memory.
The announcement comes just 3 days after the Oakville, Ontario native was named CHL Player of the week for the last week of the month. Highlighting that last week was a game at home in which the Oilers won 5-4 over Rapid City , where his name was on every point scored in the game (one goal, 4 assists). Hisey's most recent point came in a 4-0 drubbing of the Allen Americans Tuesday night at the BOK Center where he scored a goal.
Hisey has scored at least two points in each of the Oilers games in the month of October except one. His stellar performances in the games to date have helped the Oilers to one of their best starts to a season in at least 5 years.
The Oilers are on the road to face the Texas Brahmas, the Central Hockey League defending champions this Saturday night, and then on to Mississippi to face the Riverkings next Monday night.
The Oilers return home on November 13th to face the Rapid City Rush.
Tickets for all home games are on sale at the BOK Center Box office, online at tulsaoilers.com and at all Reasors Grocery stores.
