Veterans Parade Wednesday

The Tulsa Veterans Day Parade will be on Wednesday, Nov. 11,  at 11 a.m. in downtown Tulsa. 

The 2009 theme of this long-standing parade is “Home of the Free . . . Because of the Brave”.    The Tulsa parade is in its 91st year and is  the 5th largest Veterans Day Parade in the United States.

The honorees this year are:  Paul Andert, Parade Grand Marshall; Sam Childers, Parade Chief of Staff, and William James Beall, Parade Commander.

Channel 8 will be doing television coverage for those unable to attend the parade.
