Cancer Sucks Benefit Concert
The 5th Annual Cancer Sucks benefit concert with Rev Theory will be held at the historic Cain’s Ballroom Nov. 28.
Ten bans are featured and tickets are only $10. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
For the fourth year in a row, all proceeds from the event will benefit brain tumor research. Donations will be made to Gateway For Cancer Research in memory of local radio personality Jan Dean, who lost her battle with cancer in 2007.
Headlining the event is Rev Theory (3 top ten songs this year) and featuring Signum Ad and Stone Cold Sober. Special guests are Sweatin Bullets, Pedal Point, Chuk Cooley and The Demon Hammers, Driveby Sonata, Brandon Davis of My Solstice, Another Alibi and The William Joseph Band (acoustic).
To hear the bands and get more information check out the Cancer Suck's MySpace page here.
Attendees will have a chance to win autographed music memorabilia and floor seats to see KISS at The BOK Center.
Cancer Sucks donated more than $50,000.00 to cancer research last year and hopes their last event of 2009 will help them exceed that amount this year.
Corporate Sponsors absorbed all costs, so all proceeds will be donated to research. Interested individuals or businesses that would like to support the cause but are unable to
attend the concert can always purchase a ticket and donate it back or buy tickets for all of their employees as a nice holiday gift!
Donated tickets will be used for give away items on radio stations allowing us to bring people in the door to support this worthy cause.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from any of the bands that are participating in the concert, at CancerSucks.com or at The Cains Box Office.
