Trivium Thrashing The Cain's

Heavy metal, metalcore, thrash metal and even death metal fans can now rejoice. Trivium is hitting the Cain's Ballroom Saturday.

With four studio albums to their credit, including the latest - Shogun - the group has played major music festivals, including Ozzfest and the Download Festival.They were also an opening act for Iron Maiden during a European tour.

"Shogun" may arguably bring the band to the forefront of their genre. Working with renown producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters/Death Angel), the album has everything from tales of ancient Japan to Greek Mythology.

As the band says on their web site, "There is a moment for every great band when everything comes together and a definitive musical identity emerges. For Trivium, this is it. The collaboration with Raskulinecz has taken Trivium to new compositional and technical levels, while the album’s brutal, bone-shattering production means that they’ve never sounded heavier or more powerful.

Opening acts for the Tulsa show are Chimaira and White Chapel.

Advanced tickets are $22.75 and $25.25 the day of the show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show slated to start at 7:30 p.m.
