George and Reba at BOK
If you were one of the 18,000 plus to get a ticket to the Sold Out George Strait/Reba McEntire concert Saturday night at the BOK Center, consider yourself lucky.
George and Reba, hugely successful and popular for years in the country market, set records at the BOK selling out the house in around 1 hour.
The popularity and longevity of these two icons of music can be traced back to great writing and silky smooth vocals. They consistently are at the top of the charts and put on fantastic shows.
Strait does little moving and little talking during his set, but is still a huge draw because of his music and rugged looks. The ladies love him and guys wanna-be him. Now with 57 #1 singles, more than any other artist in the genre it is obvious why he is referred to as "The King of Country."
McEntire is known for her stage presence and costume changes. The little girl from Oklahoma has been a constant in the industry now for 35 years. Crossing over into TV and film, she has showed her talents in many different ways, always coming back to her roots though as a very entertaining singer.
You are sure to hear some of your favorites on this night that the stars have aligned and brought forth a majestic offering at our very own BOK Center.
The show is sold out as mentioned, but you may be able to get you hands on a ticket, (if you are willing to pay the big price) from Ebay or Craigslist.
Show time is 7:00 pm, doors open at 6:00 pm.
