66ers semi-final tickets on sale
TULSA, OK. - The Tulsa 66ers continue their push through the NBA D-League playoffs when they host the top-seeded Iowa Energy at 7 p.m. Friday night at the Tulsa Convention Center. Tulsa finished
the regular season with a franchise record 27 wins, good for the eighth seed, while Iowa had the league's best regular season record at 37-13.
The two squads split their regular season series at two in four games that were played in Tulsa. One key to the series should be scoring, as the 66ers two wins over the Energy came in games that they scored more than 100 points. Tulsa was 0-2 in games that they scored fewer than 100 points against Iowa.
The best-of-three semi-final series begins in Tulsa, with games two and three if necessary taking place in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Energy are averaging 96 points per game in the post season while shooting around 40 percent from the field. Iowa is led by guard Curtis Stinson's 20 points per game and forward Connor Atchley's 11.7 rebounds and 13.7 points per game.
The 66ers have seen success largely in part due to the solid play of Oklahoma City Thunder assignees Kyle Weaver, Mustafa Shakur and Byron Mullens. Each of the trio has averaged double-digits in scoring through three playoff games. Weaver's 25.7 points-per-game average is second in the post season only to Austin's Curtis Jerrells' 26 points-per-game average.
Tickets are on sale now for Friday's game at the BOK Center box office, online at the BOK Center website and the 66ers front office located at 2727 E. 21st St. Fans can once again receive a special offer that includes a premium seat, hot dog and soda for just $11 by visiting the 66ers office or calling at 585-8444.
