BOK Center to experience an Identity Crisis with Jeff Dunham.
Something very funny is going to happen in Tulsa on Thursday night.
That's when comic-ventriloquist Jeff Dunham will bring his "Identity Crisis" tour to the Amazing BOK Center. Dunham is in the middle of a tour that has taken him to Britain, South African (where he was banned for a time due to his puppet Achmed), and Australia, among other locations, His most recent project was hosting the 2010 CMT Music Awards. Thursday's show will be Dunham's second appearance in Tulsa, having graced the BOK stage in 2008 shortly after the arena opened.
Dunham's popularity has skyrocketed since his debut on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show in 1990. Since then Dunham has done commercials, guest appearances on sitcoms like "Ellen", (where he appeared with his puppet Walter), and TV shows like 60 Minutes II, The Best Damn Sports Show Ever, and Entertainment Tonight. In 2003, Dunham became a regular featured artist on Comedy Central Presents. There he debuted his full corps of puppets including Peanut, Bubba J, and Achmed the Dead Terrorist. In March 2009, Jeff Dunham scored a major deal with the network that resulted in the debut of "The Jeff Dunham Show".
