Rock -N- America At OKC Zoo

Some 30 bands from the Eighties will be on hand for the first Rock -N- America festival this weekend, July 23-25, 2010.  Oklahoma City's Zoo Amphitheater will play as host.

This will be the inaugural event of hopefully, many annual Rock -N- America Festivals. Among the bands to attend are The Scorpions from Germany (this being their farewell tour), Twisted Sister, RATT, Dokken, Great White, Warrant, L.A. Guns featuring Tracii Guns, and Faster Pussycat.

State Fair Park in OKC will offer camping facilities.  Check the surrounding OKC area for more accommodations.

Friday, July 23rd Scheduled Lineup:

   Twisted Sister, Great White, Trixter, Sweet, Lizzy Borden (Main Stage)  Faster Pussycat, BulletBoys, Axe, Toxin (Side Stage)

Saturday, July 24th Scheduled Lineup:

Sunday, July 25th Scheduled Lineup:

   RATT, Dokken, Lita Ford, Slaughter, Warrant (Main Stage)  Lynch Mob, Gilby Clarke, Lillian Axe, Texas Hippie Coalition, Dirty Penny (Side Stage)

There are lesser known bands that will be opening the festival up on Thursday, July 22nd  of them is local band Crooked X.  Above is a short list of those that will be on hand, click for the entire Rock -N- America lineup, as well as ticket and other information.

Break out the spandex, stock up on Aquanet, and get your acid wash jean jacket out.  It will be a throwback event better than any Hot Tub Time Machine could pull off.
