Obama’s Thinking Revealed
Updated: President Obama campaigned on glittering generalities and won as sobering sophomoric sycophant media refused to delve into the foundations of his beliefs. The resulting public confusion ended recently in a stunning analysis by Dinesh D’Souza published by Forbes titled, “How Obama Thinks” that, when combined with statements by Obama and administration officials, are totally anti-American.
Referencing The Weekly Standard summary of Obama’s approach as “omnipotence at home, impotence abroad,” D’Souza begins with observations of behavior that have befuddled both critics and supporters. Why is Barack Obama the most antibusiness president in history? Why does he feel a compelling need for government to take over home mortgages, investment banking, student loan programs, health care, autos and energy?
Why did Obama support taxpayer funding of $2 billion in offshore drilling in Brazil? Why is the drilling moratorium against American offshore drilling still in effect? Why does Obama continue to push for stimulus even though hundreds of billions of dollars have done nothing to boost employment? Why would he support a mosque at Ground Zero?
According to D’Souza, we have all been blinded by trying to fit Obama into some version of American history. Obama’s history is that of a man who spent the first 17 years of his life off the American mainland. “What is his dream? Is it the American dream? Is it Martin Luther King’s dream? Or something else,” he asks.
“We don’t have to speculate because the President tells us himself in his autobiography, Dreams from My Father. According to Obama, his dream is his father’s dream. Notice that his title is not Dreams of My Father, but rather Dreams from My Father. Obama isn’t writing about his father’s dreams; he is writing about the dreams he received from his father,” D’Souza writes.
“So who was Barack Obama Sr.? He was a Luo tribesman who grew up in Kenya and studied at Harvard. He was a polygamist who had, over the course of his lifetime, four wives and eight children. One of his sons, Mark Obama, has accused him of abuse and wife-beating.
"He was also a regular drunk driver who got into numerous accidents, killing a man in one and causing his own legs to be amputated due to injury in another. In 1982 he got drunk at a bar in Nairobi and drove into a tree, killing himself. An odd choice, certainly, as an inspirational hero, but to his son, the elder Obama represented a great and noble cause, the cause of anticolonialism.
“It may seem incredible to suggest that the anticolonial ideology of Barack Obama Sr. is espoused by his son, the President of the United States,” D’Souza writes. “That is what I am saying. From a very young age and through his formative years, Obama learned to see America as a force for global domination and destruction. He came to view America's military as an instrument of neocolonial occupation. He adopted his father's position that capitalism and free markets are code words for economic plunder. Obama grew to perceive the rich as an oppressive class, a kind of neocolonial power within America. In his worldview, profits are a measure of how effectively you have ripped off the rest of society, and America's power in the world is a measure of how selfishly it consumes the globe's resources and how ruthlessly it bullies and dominates the rest of the planet. For Obama, the solutions are simple. He must work to wring the neocolonialism out of America and the West.”
As a native of Mumbai, India, D’sSouza is intimately knowledgeable of anitcolonial doctrine. He defines it, “Anticolonialism is the doctrine that rich countries of the West got rich by invading, occupying and looting poor countries of Asia, Africa and South America. As one of Obama's acknowledged intellectual influences, Frantz Fanon, wrote in The Wretched of the Earth, ‘The well-being and progress of Europe have been built up with the sweat and the dead bodies of Negroes, Arabs, Indians and the yellow races.’"
The entire article is well worth your serious consideration and reflects views more fully covered in his forthcoming book, “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” (Regnery Publishing). Dinesh D’Souza is the president of the King’s College in New York City. You may reach the Forbes article by clicking here.
Also powerfully reveling is a recently posted collage of video clips of President Obama’s key advisors, appointees, and policy czars. Many of these clips have been seen on various Fox News Network programs – especially Glenn Beck. However, Beck did not make the clips, only report on and broadcast them.
In fact, candidate Barack Hussein Obama said we could judge him by the people who surround him. From this video clip, Americans should be very concerned that Constitutional guarantees of individual liberty are very much at risk from the current administration. Click here to reach the video collage.
On September 17, President Obama spoke to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute 33rd Annual Award Gala. During his speech - reading from a teleprompter - he quoted from the Declaration of Independence. Here is what he said: "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain unalienable rights, life and liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Obama omitted the words "by their Creator" from his speech. Why? Given the fact that he was using a teleprompter, We can only conclude that this was intentional. Either he, or his speechwriter, did not want to give credit to Almighty God. This kind of action would be in step with modern secular liberalism that is hostile to the Christian faith. Funny thing, this writer on this domain warned you about Obama in a May 2008 piece titled, “Obama fails the first questions.” Not wanting to brag or anything, I upped the ante in October 2008 with an article “Obama’s most significant statement.” Click here to read that story.
In summary, President Obama doesn’t believe the things most Americans understand as common to our culture. American Exceptionalism is not about bureaucracy, but free individuals in a free market creating products and services that generate consumer demand thus profiting society and the purse – the creator’s own and others. The Left doesn't understand God's creation or the creation of creativity. Neither is safe or productive in any kind of government directed "top down" organization which, by nature, only sees the limit of existing circumstance.
It is a historically unproven myth that utopia can be achieved by a "ruling elite" with control and command of resources, production, and capital. History calls that Communism, but it is so very attractive to those who believe they are or can become our rulers.
As the ruling elite show themselves nationally, understand that local conservative journalism organizations like Tulsa Today are also under attack from the same types of elite in government and media. When not ignoring us, they marginalize then demonize, but we continue as the oldest independent online news service in America – utilizing worldwide communications to connect neighbors and expatriates since 1996. Media and politicians may hate us, but read here and listen to the David Arnett Show on AM 740 and FM 102.3 news talk KRMG because we are not even moderately restrained by the tyranny of political correctness.
We will continue to fight for what we believe is true, just and right according to the Constitution of the United States of America. We stand for God and Country and believe from the heart “that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
It is sad that the current President of the United States does not believe the same, but he is only a temporary manager after all. Now that we know him, maybe more temporary than anyone first thought.
About the author:
An individualist, David Arnett began a traditional journalism career untraditionally in an Aha Moment you can review thirty years ago. Arnett has long argued that government is incompetent if not corrupt at the Federal level, put his life on the line to fight corruption on the state level and questioned almost every “authority” in Tulsa at some point. Passionately belligerent in the demand for equal treatment under the law, Arnett fought for racial integration of Tulsa Public Schools and equal rights as youth liaison to the Community Relations Commission before he graduated from high school. Arnett is an equal opportunity aggravator.
