Five Finger Death Punch coming to Cain's
Five Finger Death Punch, the popular heavy metal band from Los Angeles, is coming to Tulsa. 5FDP as they are called, will be crashing the Cain's Ballroom on Sunday in a show that promises to pack a heavy punch of metal music.
The group formed in 2005 and achieved success quickly. Their 2007 debut album, "The Way of the Fist" has sold over 430,000 copies in the United States. The group followed that effort with "War is the Answer" in 2009. The sophomore effort has sold over 340,000 copies, with 44,000 coming in it's first week of release, peaking at number seven on the Billboard 200.
"Hard to See" was the first single off the album and made it's way into the top 10. "Walk Away", also from "War is the Answer", peaked at number seven on the charts. Their most popular song currently, however, is "Bad Company", a cover of the English rock super-group Bad Company's trademark hit.
Most recently, Five Finger Death Punch toured in support of their latest album on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival alongside Rob Zombie, Korn and Lamb of God. They played to a very energized crowd last August at the Zoo Amphitheater in Oklahoma City.
Tulsa bands Mercy Street and Severmind are set to open the show that starts at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $27 in advance and $29 on the day of the show. Tickets are available at the Cain's Ballroom website, or at the door.
