Foxworthy, Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy at the BOK Center tonight
Three of the biggest country comics of the last decade invade the BOK Center tonight, bringing their unique 'blue collar' style comedy along with them. Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy have made a nice living off of three catch phrases over the years, but this show is a must see for even the most casual of fans.
Foxworthy, has been a staple in the comedy world since the early 1990's, and has released six major label comedy albums. His famed "you might be a redneck if" tag always tickles the funny bone and reminds us that somewhere all of us have a little redneck in us. Foxworthy, a native of Georgia, is the best-selling comedy recording artist of all-time.
Engvall has evolved nicely after reaching fame with his signature "here's your sign" bit that caught on well enough it was made into a song featuring country star Travis Tritt. Engvall got his start on the television sitcom Designing Women before getting his first big break on The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson. The Galveston, Texas born Engvall has released nine albums, two of which peaked at number one on the comedy charts.
Larry the Cable Guy, real name Daniel Whitney, is a Nebraska native currently residing in Florida. He got his start in entertainment as a disc jockey in Blue Springs, Missouri. He has made millions of dollars over the years perfecting his redneck persona and uttering the three famous words "Git R Done."
The three were part of the two highly-succesful "Blue Collar Comedy" tours featuring fellow comic Ron White and also enjoyed some success with the television show Blue Collar TV. Tickets for tonight's show, which starts at 8 p.m., are on sale at the BOK Center website, or at the box office. Doors open for the show at 6 p.m.
