Scholastic Classic Golf Tournament

The Tulsa chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) has announced the organization’s 18th annual Scholastic Classic Golf Tournament, which will be held Monday, October 9th at the Forest Ridge Golf Club.  The tournament supports EWI’s scholarship programs in the Tulsa area.

“Money raised by the Scholastic Classic provides scholarships for Tulsa area high school juniors as well as adult students needing financial assistance to complete or further their education, “ said Jody Davis – Bergman, EWI president.  “Due to the support we have received from our generous sponsors and participants,  EWI was able to  award nearly $30,000 in scholarships thus far in 2006 and really make a difference in the lives of some outstanding individuals.”

In 2006, the Tulsa chapter has presented scholarships to 5 area high school juniors through the Executive Women International Scholarship Program (EWISP), which is now in it’s 32ndt year.  EWI also presented scholarships to 12 adults through the Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) program.  The ASIST program, which is in its 11th year, recognizes adult students at transitional points in their lives.  Applicants may be single parents, individuals just entering the workforce or displaced employees.

In addition to supporting education in the Tulsa area, Scholastic Classic participants are eligible for great prizes, including cash awards and trophies along with the opportunity to network with many top executives from EWI member firms and other area companies.  Participants will also receive a continental breakfast and a nice lunch at the club.

The entry fee for the tournament is $1,000 for a team of four, or $200 for an individual.  Sponsorships are available at $1,250, $2,500 and $5,000.   Contributions can also be made for special signage on the course and door prize contributions are appreciated.  For more information, please contact Amy Warren @ 918-585-110 or awarren@cimmarex.com
