Gingrich demands FED audit
In a speech this morning in Atlanta, Newt Gingrich called for the repeal of the Dodd-Frank legislation and dramatic reforms in the operation of the Federal Reserve, starting with a full-scale audit of its activities.
During the 2008 financial crisis, the Federal Reserve made thousands of loans to banks and other large institutions for reasons that aren’t entirely clear. These loans totaled at least three trillion dollars and exposed the American taxpayer to potentially enormous financial liability for losses Gingrich said.
"Because such decisions of the Federal Reserve affect the value and stability of the dollar, and therefore the life and livelihood of every American, we have every right to ask - who got the money?"
Gingrich called for those that agree, to take a moment to watch a video laying out our "Who Got the Money?" and sign a petition in support of a full-scale audit of the Federal Reserve.
