Tulsa Oilers sign two
Eastman and Erickson sign contracts ending Oilers hibernation.
TULSA, OK-- Player-assistant coach Derek Eastman and defenseman Sean Erickson will return for a third season with the Tulsa Oilers.
The top tiered defensive pairing was an integral part of the Tulsa Oilers’ successful season last year. Player-assistant coach, Derek Eastman, ended the season 4th in defenseman scoring with 51 points and Sean Erickson`s 15 goals resulted in him ending the season tied for 3rd in the league for defenseman goal scoring.
Head Coach Bruce Ramsay is excited to bring back one of the top defensive pairings in the CHL, “The leadership and offensive capabilities that these two bring to the Oilers is unmatched in the CHL, and I expect them, as defensive partners to be one of the most prolific units in the League next season.”
The siginings end what has been a very quiet off season for the Tulsa club, who to date have extended the contract of Coach Ramsay and sent defenseman Brennan Barker to Missouri to complete a previous trade.
Season ticket packages for the Oilers 20th season in the Central Hockey League are on sale. For more information contact the Oilers office at 918-632-PUCK (7825).
The CHL schedule has not been released as yet, but the season usually begins the 3rd week of October.
