"An Affair of the Heart” a huge success
Record numbers of shoppers poured in to the October 2011 “An Affair of the Heart”. They were treated to their favorite vendors and some new and exciting ones. “A big “An Affair of the Heart” THANK YOU to everyone who made the October, 2011 show at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, such a huge success,” said owner/founder, Connie Harris.
October’s show offered seven buildings full of amazing treasures providing a shopping experience like no other both for first time attendees and those who have attended every show since it’s beginning in 1985. Homeland, “An Affair of the Heart” Presenting Sponsor, had the latest holiday food offerings and Homeland Pharmacy offered on site flu shots.
Broadcasting LIVE were the ever amazing KOMA featuring Dave Martin, Lisa Sykes, Ronnie Kaye and Kent Jones; KMGL’s Steve O’Brien, Shawn Carey and “Magic Man” Jeff Roberts; KKNG’s Lynn Waggoner; JAKE’s Kevin Christopher.
Other featured booths providing information and fun, included: Home Creations, Verizon Wireless, Anna’s House Foundation who provide stable and loving homes for the youngest children in foster care, Our Sisters Closet benefiting the YMCA Women’s Shelter, Blue Star Mothers were at the KOMA booth, Food Bank Back Pack Program was featured in the News 9 booth, and Toby Keith Foundation’s OK Kids Korral, a home being built for pediatric cancer patients and their families while they’re receiving treatment at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center, OU Cancer Institute and other nearby facilities was on hand.
“An Affair of the Heart” is one of the largest shows of its kind in the nation with exhibitors, artists and craftsmen from across the United States. The event offers crafts, antiques, collectibles, furniture, decorative items, jewelry, clothing and so much more. The show is in every sense, “A Unique Marketplace” and is an incredible shopping experience for any age attending.
Each year, the shows are presented in Oklahoma City in both February and October with “The Heart of Tulsa” shows in July and November. Times are: Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $6.00 and covers all three days of the show. For more information visit us at www.aaoth.com.
