Cattle Baron's Ball entertainment announced
Two popular country music acts will take the stage at the Cattle Baron’s Ball to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society later this year. The Lost Trailers and the Red Dirt Rangers will be among the entertainment for the annual fundraiser which takes place at Vive Le Ranch on Aug. 24. Sunny Leigh, morning show radio host on KVOO 98.5 FM, will serve as emcee of the concert.
Leigh said these acts are perfect fits for Cattle Baron’s Ball because they’re high energy and have great fan bases.
“The Lost Trailers’ performance at Cain’s Ballroom in February was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen in Tulsa and their hit song ‘Underdog’ was one of the most inspirational songs of the year,” Leigh says. “Red Dirt Rangers are a Green Country staple and they always put on a fun-filled show. That’s why their fans are some of the most dedicated around.”
The Lost Trailers performance at Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic catapulted the duo into the national spotlight, earning them multiple Academy of Country Music Awards nominations and several Top 20 hits including “Holler Back” and “How ‘bout You Don’t.” The band has toured extensively with other country music icons including Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum.
The Red Dirt Rangers are among the most iconic performers to emerge from the epicenter of the Red Dirt music scene in Stillwater, where they mastered their craft alongside Jason Boland and the Stragglers and Stoney LaRue.
In addition to the concert, guests will enjoy a number of activities at the event including a mechanical bull and a silent auction. Auction items include a week-long excursion to a Montana ranch for four couples, a one-of-a-kind Lavada Nichols print valued around $3,500, a custom built outdoor bar and a variety of autographed guitars, hats and sports memorabilia.
Individual tickets are $150, VIP tickets are $225, and tables are available for $2,000 or $3,500. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and tickets are available online at www.tulsacattlebaronsball.org.
