Inhofe honored for economic record
The Club for Growth recently presented U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), a leading fiscal conservative, with the Defender of Economic Freedom Award for his pro-economic growth voting record during the 1st session of the 112th Congress.
This annual award honors Members of Congress who consistently protect economic liberty and advocate for limited government, lower taxes, and the reduction of wasteful government spending.
“I’m honored to once again receive this award from the Club for Growth,” said Inhofe. “At a time when our nation’s economic climate remains unstable, Congress must pursue free market principles and stop wasteful government spending. This is the only solution to ensure the full restoration of our economy. I appreciate the Club for Growth’s dedication in advocating for these sustainable solutions on behalf of the American people.”
“With his score of 99 percent, and a lifetime score of 94 percent, Senator Inhofe has demonstrated that he is truly a defender of economic freedom,” said Club for Growth President Chris Chocola. “The Club for Growth values Members of Congress who vote based on principle for pro-growth policies that will restore America. The people of Oklahoma are lucky to have Senator Inhofe fighting for them in Congress.”
