Five Guys Burgers and Fries to open

Five Guys Burgers and Fries will open its first location in Tulsa on September 3rd at 9635 Riverside Parkway.  The chain offers a simple, yet mouth-watering menu of hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. The company is known for offering a big bag of roasted peanuts in the shell for customers to snack on while waiting for their orders.

Five Guys, the Virginia-based burger chain offers a menu of hamburgers, hotdogs and french fries. The concept was started in 1986 by Jerry Murrell and his five sons. 

They focused on creating the highest quality, best tasting burger and fries imaginable and have accomplished it through a fanatical focus on quality and service. Because of this, they have won many awards based on taste and value.

For instance: Five Guy's has been voted "Best Burgers" for the past five years in Washingtonian Magazine, were rated number one "Bang for the Buck" in Zagat Survey and The Washington Post calls them "the Willy Wonkas of burgercraft." In addition, since expanding outside of the DC Metro area, Five Guys has won the Annapolis Magazine's reader poll for Best Fries, Richmond City Magazine's reader's choice for Best Burger and the Fredericksburg Star's Simply the Best Award for Best Burger. They also win many awards based on value as the amount of food served is remarkable.

Recently the Murrells made the decision to franchise the concept and within the last couple of years most of the entire country has been claimed by lucky franchisees. Business partners, Steve Hawes and Darryl Neider, of HN Capital have opened 26 restaurants in four states. They plan on having 32 stores opened by the end of 2012, with many more coming next year.
