Street work topic of Complete Our Streets Town Hall Meeting
All interested Tulsans are invited to attend a Citizen town Hall Meeting on Monday, Oct. 29, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Central Center at Centennial Park, 1028 E. Sixth Street (Sixth Street and Peoria Avenue).
The “Complete Our Streets” panel, led by Sharon King Davis and Dewey Bartlett Jr. to take a comprehensive look at Tulsa’s streets, invites Tulsans to share their comments by either speaking to the group or submitting written comments. Those who want to speak will be asked to sign in before the meeting begins.
The panel, which was established by Mayor Kathy Taylor and City Councilor Bill Martinson, will focus on three aspects of Tulsa's streets: contracting, smart urban design and financing. A committee has been assigned to study each of these three areas.
The panel will gather and question information, and make decisions for recommendations to be submitted to the mayor and the City Council on Dec. 4.
