Carrie Underwood to play Tulsa
Top county artist Carrie Underword is bringing her Carnival Ride Tour to Tulsa's new BOK Center October 29. The show time is set for 7:30 pm, but ticket prices and sale dates have not yet been confirmed according to BOK Center officials. As soon as that information is availabe it will be posted to the BOK Center web site and Tulsa Today.
It has been three years since the Checotah native found fame from Fox's American Idol. From that time to this, the accolades just keep coming.
“Carrie Underwood has the whole package,” Oklahoma Today Editor-in-Chief Louisa McCune said when they named Underwood the 2006 Oklahoman of the Year. “When we’re assessing candidates, we look for someone who has accomplished something phenomenal in the past year. The next thing we ask ourselves is, does this person encompass all that makes this state great?"
"Does this person have the outstanding character traits and humility necessary to be distinguished in this way? If the answer all around is yes, then the candidate is certainly a front-runner for Oklahoman of the Year. Carrie obviously had what it took.”
She still does.
