NSA scandal unites right and left
Obamacare and all other “phony scandals” of Obama aside, the most significant scandal of the Obama administration concerns the National Security Agency (NSA), where our so-called government, backed not only by President Obama but a number of congressional Democrats and Republicans like Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Rep. Peter King, has literally invaded, violated and, in effect, raped the professional and personal lives of over 300 million Americans with its Orwellian surveillance programs known as PRISM and MUSCULAR. With each passing day, We the People learn more about how the NSA and its enablers are amassing cellphone data, Internet communications and other forms of communications to spy on the entire U.S. citizenry. Coupled with the massive stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by the Obama Homeland Security Department and the deployment of drones domestically, anyone with any degree of common sense can only see this as a means – at a minimum – for the government to coerce and blackmail the American people into submission as corrupt Democrats and Republicans continue to ignore our grievances so they can continue to rake cash into their political coffers with bribes from lobbyists and political consultants (like James Carville and Karl Rove) and other perks at taxpayers’ expense as the republic goes down the drain. Indeed, the nation’s “leaders” are so corrupt that it is no longer a question of whether revolution will ultimately break out, but simply when. In the words of French King Louis XV, “Apres moi le deluge,” meaning let the people be damned, and after me I don’t care if all hell breaks loose. Indeed, this came to pass when French citizens stormed the Bastille on July 14, 1789, and King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette, in addition to the king’s noble court, government officials and judges, were later taken to the guillotines. Just this week, the Washington Post revealed yet another new outrage of NSA spying on the American people, coming on the heels of revelations that the government has even had the chutzpah to eavesdrop on the cellphone calls of foreign leaders like Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel. In an article written by Barton Gellman and Ashkan Soltani in the Post Oct. 30, entitled “NSA Infiltrates Links to Yahoo, Google Data Centers Worldwide, Snowden Documents Say,” they report: “The National Security Agency has secretly broken into the main communications links that connect Yahoo and Google data centers around the world, according to documents obtained from former NSA contractor Edward Snowden and interviews with knowledgeable officials. “By tapping those links, the agency has positioned itself to collect at will from hundreds of millions of user accounts, many of them belonging to Americans. “According to a to a top-secret accounting dated Jan. 9, 2013, the NSA’s acquisitions directorate sends millions of records every day from internal Yahoo and Google networks to data warehouses at the agency’s headquarters at Fort Meade, Md. In the preceding 30 days, the report said, field collectors had processed and sent back 181,280,466 new records – including ‘metadata,’ which would indicate who sent or received emails and when, as well as content such as text, audio and video. “The NSA’s principal tool to exploit the data links is a project called MUSCULAR. … From undisclosed interception points, the NSA … [is] copying entire data flows across fiber-optic cables that carry information among the data centers of the Silicon Valley giants. “The infiltration is especially striking because the NSA, under a separate program known as PRISM, has front-door access to Google and Yahoo user accounts through a court approved process. … “In a statement, Google’s chief legal officer, David Drummond, said the company has ‘long been concerned about the possibility of this kind of snooping’ and has not provided the government with access to its systems. … We are outraged at the lengths to which the government seems to have gone to intercept data from our private fiber networks, and it underscores the need for urgent reform.” While Google’s claims of innocence hardly ring true, no more than the post-World War II claims of German industrialists that they did not collaborate with Hitler, these claims are telling – they underscore that there is no honor among thieves. As the rats flee the NSA nest, the American people are left with the toxic and potentially fatal odor of rodent dung. And, that is why Freedom Watch and I have filed class action lawsuits to stop and seek severe penalties for the illegal acts of President Obama, the NSA, other government agencies and officials, and the compliant cellphone providers and Internet companies themselves. Just last Thursday, after I filed motions for preliminary injunctions to stop this continuing attack on the privacy rights of We the People, federal district court Judge Richard Leon ordered that a hearing be held on Nov. 18, 2013, coincidentally just one day before the peaceful, non-violent revolution is set to begin across from the White House at 10 a.m. on Nov. 19, 2013, in Lafayette Park. This hearing could lead to NSA and the other defendants being ordered to cease and desist from their illegal activities. Help Larry Klayman with his class-action suit against Obama’s use of the NSA to violate Americans’ rights. But given that the NSA has ignored other court orders, and in fact lied to the judges of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in doing so, it boils down to the citizenry’s need to rise up and demand that these unconstitutional invasions of our private and personal lives end now. Concerned citizens from all walks of political and social life, persons across every spectra of our society – be they conservative or liberal, black or white, Christian or Jew – have a duty to come to our Reclaim America Now Coalition mass gathering, to show our corrupt leaders that, in the words of Thomas Jefferson, “when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” See www.reclaimamericanow.net. (And check out this Jon Stewart video that demonstrates the unity between left and right on NSA spying.) “Apres Moi Le Deluge!” (The People Be Damned!)
- King Louis XV before the French Revolution This is the last chance for Obama and his Democratic and Republican enablers to escape more serious remedies by the populace and to avoid the “deluge,” meaning the flood, that is sure follow if the government does not heed our grievances. To put it clearly and simply, its time for Obama and his friends in power in the executive, legislative and judicial branches to shape up or ship out!
