Street School receives grant
(Tulsa, Okla.) – Street School received a grant from Women Impacting Tulsa Grantmaking Fund (WIT) to assist with the school’s therapeutic counseling program. WIT Chair Courtnie Tidwell and Tulsa Community Foundation Program Coordinator, Jane Ziegler presented a check to Street School’s Executive Director Lori McGinnis-Madland at the school on Monday in the amount of $6,750. WIT is a group of professionals, community leaders, advocates, mothers and volunteers all behind the idea that women working together will make a difference in the Tulsa community. The group collectively pools their money and distributes annually to Tulsa nonprofit agencies through a competitive grant process. The group began in 2010 as a partnership between the Tulsa Community Foundation and the Tulsa Area United Way.
