BIXBY, OK— The Oklahoma Thunder improved to a perfect 3-0 when they defeated the Dallas Anarchy 62-30 at Spartan Stadium at Bixby High School on Saturday night.
Quarterback Brandon Noohi threw eleven completions on 17 passes for 92 yards and three touchdowns, while Dominic Perry rushed for 28 yards on six attempts and two touchdowns. Noohi’s targets in the Dallas end zone were Ryan Gallimore, Prentiss Elliot and Winston Holder.

The Thunder defense swarmed the Anarchy offense in the game, forcing three interceptions with two of the INT’s resulting in points. Gus Jones made the first pick in the second quarter and his return set up the points that pushed the Thunder into a lead that they would not relinquish for the remainder of the game. Antonio Gillespie intercepted another Anarchy pass and ran the ball 28 yards for a touchdown, then late in the game BJ Hodshire galloped in 55 yards after another pick for a touchdown.

After the slow start the Thunder managed to take control of the game and not look back. The stifling Thunder effectively shut down the Anarchy offense once they had the lead in hand.
The game was delayed late in the third quarter when Anarchy running back coach Tony Abbs fell ill and collapsed on the Dallas sidelines.

Play was suspended and trainers from both sidelines rushed to Abbs aid. After some 27 minutes and the transport of the coach to the hospital via ambulance, the game resumed.
The win Saturday was the 80th win in franchise history. Since the Thunder were born in 2007…a full year before the Oklahoma City Thunder were transplanted from Seattle to Oklahoma City… the Thunder have only lost four times in seven seasons of play.
From here the Thunder will be on the road for nearly a month visiting Arkansas and Memphis before returning home to take on the Kansas City Panthers on July 19th. Tickets for that game and the remainder of the Thunder’s home season are on sale at oklahomathunder.net.
